Ethics and Policy

The "Journal of Innovations in Computer Science and Trends in IT" upholds the highest standards of ethics and integrity in all aspects of its publication process. Authors, reviewers, editors, and the editorial board are expected to adhere to the following ethics and policies:

  • 1. Publication Ethics:
    • Authors must ensure that their submitted work is original, and if they have used the work and/or words of others, this has been appropriately cited or quoted.
    • Plagiarism, in any form, is strictly prohibited. All submissions will be subjected to plagiarism detection software.
    • Authors should disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the research or its interpretation.
    • Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data is considered unethical and unacceptable.
  • 2. Authorship Criteria:
    • Authors must have made substantial contributions to the research and writing of the manuscript.
    • All authors should be listed on the manuscript in order of their contributions. Others who contributed to the work should be acknowledged appropriately.
  • 3. Review Process:
    • Peer review is an essential component of our publication process to ensure the quality and validity of the research.
    • Reviewers are expected to provide unbiased and constructive feedback to authors.
    • Editors will make decisions based on the merit of the work, its significance, originality, and clarity.
  • 4. Confidentiality:
    • Editors, reviewers, and members of the editorial board will treat all submitted manuscripts with confidentiality.
    • Information about submitted manuscripts will not be disclosed to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, and the publisher, as necessary.
  • 5. Editorial Policies:
    • The editorial board reserves the right to reject submissions that do not meet the journal's standards of quality, ethics, or relevance to the scope of the journal.
    • Decisions on acceptance or rejection of manuscripts will be based on academic merit, relevance, and originality of the work.
    • The editorial board will strive to ensure a fair and timely review process for all submissions.
  • 6. Open Access and Copyright:
    • The "Journal of Innovations in Computer Science and Trends in IT" is an open-access journal, providing free and immediate access to its content to promote the widest dissemination of knowledge.
    • Authors retain the copyright of their work published in the journal, allowing others to distribute and remix the work under a Creative Commons license.
  • 7. Corrections and Retractions:
    • The journal will consider corrections, clarifications, or retractions if errors or ethical issues are discovered post-publication.
    • Corrections will be clearly marked and linked to the original publication.
  • 8. Appeals:
    • Authors have the right to appeal editorial decisions if they believe the decision was unfair or based on a misunderstanding.
  • 9. Compliance:
    • The journal complies with relevant ethical standards and guidelines established by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) and other reputable organizations.

By adhering to these ethics and policies, the "Journal of Innovations in Computer Science and Trends in IT" aims to maintain the integrity, credibility, and quality of the research published in the journal.
